Happy ending to a sad story

My grandma and grandpa are reunited at last after near to 50 years on wednesday night.

The past 4 days was tiring,
waking up early, sleeping late, folding paper everyday, attending to guest, cleaning up, etc.

But I bet my uncle & dad are far more tired than me.
They barely slept.

The sorrow in my uncle's eyes and tears that stream down from aunt and cousins just makes this even more......

I got to know my cousins during these 4 days, even some that I have not seen before.
Saw many distant relatives and dad's long-time friends.
Kind of brought us all together.

Everything was fine.
Until today morning where the monk told us to see my grandma for the last time before they close the coffin.
Suddenly everyone's emotions started getting agitated? lol.

I looked at my grandma for the last time,
and I can still see a frown that stayed on her face despite the make up.
It made me imagine what could her thoughts be when she left,
or is she very painful when she left.

A lot of relatives started crying out loud during the cremate process.

It's very different from my past experience.
This is the first time I see someone cry during a funeral, weird enough.

My grandpa and grandma are placed together, finally reunited.
after the many years of bringing up their children by herself,
and these 7 to 8 years of suffering from many illnesses,
I guess this is a happy ending to a sad story.

Hope she finds peace wherever she go.
And may my uncle be able to live his life for himself from today onwards.

Love,
Memories
